Why I Created Travel, Your Way

When it comes to planning a holiday, I think there are two types of travellers.

Some people prefer handing over the planning and letting someone else take care of every detail. Then there are those of us who genuinely enjoy planning our trips, researching, comparing hotels, reading reviews and building itineraries before we travel.

If you like booking everything yourself and experience that rush of excitement when you've got all of your tabs open whilst deciding what you'd like to book, you're going to love it here.

For me, planning a trip has always been part of the adventure. One of the reasons I wanted to start a travel blog was to have somewhere I could properly document the places I've visited, share my experiences and hopefully help someone else plan a trip of their own. That's the reason I created Travel, Your Way.

Travel, Your Way is where I'll be sharing the hotels I've loved, the places that surprised me, destination guides, hotel reviews, restaurant recommendations, travel photography, itineraries that worked (and those that definitely didn't), practical travel tips and the recommendations I'd happily give a friend.

If somewhere genuinely impressed me, I'll tell you why. If it doesn't live up to the hype, I'll tell you that too. That's because everything here comes from trips I've actually taken, so you won't find generic, endless lists, only places I'd genuinely visit again.

I want this travel blog to become somewhere people return to because they trust the recommendations, enjoy the stories and discover somewhere they might never have found otherwise.

Whether you're planning a weekend city break, a honeymoon or your next big adventure, I hope something here helps make the journey a little more exciting, or a little less stressful.
